I won 2 Orochis and...
... I don't know how to feel about that. I've been complaining for months about Orochi being too OP and making the game less enjoyable. Since I won two of them, perhaps a major nerf is coming. I tried it out, it's okay I guess. I'm not in love.

For good cheap weapons use two thunders.

I just want too bump this, he said this before and i gave it a go.
mk2 in no time.
damage is crazy with that wasp drone in the store.
i used the pilot skill too "increase thunder shot grouping" i can pop shields at 400m.
yet i can not "tear the shields off Arthur" "yet" but once i get a legendary pilot level'd up it maybe possible.
thanks for the pro tip.

Banes are part of the Rewards ATM and do far more damage than Thunders. Although they cost more to upgrade, they are well worth the investment.

Eh, not really. I kept "Cruel Orochi" in my hangar but I sold Vanilla Orochi. It's not as fun as my other robots. I had 2x Calamity on it but that's definitely not the right equipment for Orochi. I put 2x Thunder on it. I'll play it again at some point.
I have a Bane on my Fenrir (with 2x Freedom Igniter) and a Hel on my Hades (with 2x Snaer). I won all those weapons. My Fenrir is a Shell-killer!

I didn't like the Orochi bot at first. Cam to realize it does perform better the my Bllitz in getting beacons. So I finally buffed up one I had in the hanger. Because of the stealth it can escape from other bots without getting whacked. So for now I use it. It is a weak bot and if it gets nerfed, it will end up in the scrape pile and be a waste of silver. Yes, right now I use 2 Mk3 Thunders on it. The first weapons I took to Mk3 and do not seem to work on any other bot.

Any robot with an area of effect ability can still damage you while cloaked, also any bot at right height of weapons can hit you.
Thunders with there spread can hit you while cloaked.

Thunders are best close up, But need reloaded to get best effect, Orochi is good for this.

That's where having weapons the right height helps.
