That's like saying this guy punched me. So I went to hang out with his lil brother, and he punched me too!
Pixonic is good at making games just good enough to combine with psychology tactics to earn money. I don't think they have any experience creating a game driven by player satisfaction, and not frustration.
My guess is it will end up like war robots.
But then game was not even live yet and they were already one-upping themselves with newer, more powerful builds and capabilities. Remember how bad the WR was on steam before cross platform when you'd bump into same death squads game after game? Sure enough, the WRF has like 10 players tops and they already implemented squad play.
And lastly, big part of games such as WR and WRF is having a hangar that you can upgrade and tweak. In WRF, since it's still in dev, they reset everybody's progress once in a while and you lose everything.
There's absolutely no reason to play it now. It might be better when it's released but expect same old p2w.
I think they are scheduled to release the game this year. It will be interesting to see what final shape the game will take since it has changed a bit since when I played it.
Is Frontiers cringy and pay to win like the regular WR version?
When I started playing WRF it certainly wasn't it, it reminded me of best days of War Robots when it just started. You could have competed playing thunder fury, with PC graphics and more dynamic gameplay (every bot could dash, for example).
But that was over a year ago since then they have been adding content that they could monetize on when the game is released. Pixonic has also openly stated that it will be "free to play" when released which absolutely means it will be pay to win.
Thank you guys for your kindness and input.
