War Robots

War Robots

slidebite May 21, 2021 @ 12:16am
was playing just fine,
then after battle only hangar would load, nothing else other than start battle. which would just run the timer after 15 minutes knew something was wrong so i re started my pc opened steam, it said download update complete, but when i hit play, it says disk write error. I went through several steps to try and fix it. waiting for steam support to get back to me, but i dont know what they can do. this is strange because i already had the latest update. Yes i uninstalled and re downloaded several times. Looks like no more war robots for me till it gets figured out. NEVER had anything like this. Of COURSE!!!

Good day!

Try the following:
1. Win + R;
2. Enter 'regedit' and click 'OK';
3. HKEY_CURRENT_USER → Software → Pixonic → War Robots Steam;
4. Highlight the contents of the folder and delete;
5. Try running War Robots again.

Frodo, I tried this to no avail. Also every single thing, I could find on the internet. This makes no sense at all. And, if I delete steam, and re install, I lose my game progress. Thank you for your suggestion, instead of making jokes. My pc only has one drive, so I will buy an external drive and see if I can start with that.

You can Backup or Restore your Games'.

If you are having Drive Issues and have a Defragment and Optimize Program, you should run the Program.
If you don't have such a Program, you should run the Command Prompt as Admin App and enter: chkdsk /f /r in the Command Window.
It will take quite awhile to get done though.
I'm having the same issue. An update came but it got to about 100% and then paused and wouldn't resume. I've been snooping around for an answer to the same Disk Write Error.

It would probably help if we could see a Screen Shot of said Error.

It's mentioning about the WR exe, but looking in the folder this is what I see

I think you need to free up disk space on your drive, it can't unpack due to not enough space.
Happened on my windows tablet.

Frodo does have a point. With all of those other games, how much "Free Disk Space" does your drive have?
slidebite May 22, 2021 @ 7:07am
well, mine has hundreds of gigs, the drive isnt very old. I too see something about war robots exe. Ive gone to program files x86, and manually deleted several folders uninstalled the game re installed the game, but cant find war robots exe. like i said this is so strange because i already had the update, why would i need another one? ok I see the same thing Thirtione does, and Im getting to exact same error as he is. This is insane. Iran defrag and optimize disk. I will run chkdsk, but from what I have read problems can arise from doing this.

ok i ran chkdsk, no errors found. How exactly do I back up and restore the game, the only thing I have not tried is COMPLETELY uninstalling and RE installing steam.

Before you Backup your Games', you should create a Directory in your User Folder, ie: SteamGamesBackup.
Steam > Backup and Restore Games...
Backup / Restore > Next

Select Games' > Next
"Folder Location": ( Use BROWSE... ) ie. C:/Users/MyAccount/SteamGamesBackup
Click Next then Next again when ready

$ 75 invested in your country's economy and not in the pockets of Pixonic thieves.
