Best early robots to buy?

I just hit level 6 and I have over 900k silver coins and 1k gold coins. Not sure how often you get more currency in this game, but what is the best bang for your buck as far as early robots to buy? any favorites? I can afford one names Jesse and it looks pretty fast

I directly bought a Patton, with 4 small arms that I upgraded to level 12 mk2.
Then I placed the weapons on a Blitz.
Currently, the general advice is to choose a robot with 4 modules.

1st is beacon runner, gareth will fill this role to start with.
Heavy hitters, leo is good for this at start.

Start making parts in workshop for blitz, good bot and handy for beacons.

Thanks for the advice - i dont have a workshop though, no clue what you're talking about

It has been so long but I believe that the Workshop will be available to you at Level 10 or 15. ^^;

I really like my Pursuer with 3 magnums. Not as early as Stalker (which I like enough to keep around at L10) but much more impact than stalker when it's upgraded. I have a L10 Gareth with flamethrowers, but he's fragile.

I used 3 Leo's. 2 tanks, 1 long range and 1 griffin as assault with 2 magnums and 2 punisher t's, the heaviest hitter I had was a Natasha with 2 thunders and 2 magnums. I kept switching it up between magnums and pins. The Thunders and Magnums are great even in Master 3 league.
