Need to downgrade my league, suggestions?
I have 4 slots for robots, only 1 decent, I'm in silver 1 league, but I usually rank in the las three, the enemy robots are super hard with GOOD weapons, if I win I usually don't get into the best three. I'd prefer to buy the game than to put tons of money. I need to get into a lower league.

Your talking about tanking.

You would make a cossack, don't do anything to it and use it only in battles, no other bot.
Do as much damage as you can till it dies, then you wait till battle is over.

Your rank will drop doing this and your dump on everyone in your team.

Then your lower yourself and start seal clubbing the new players, who are learning the game and have weaker stuff than you.

If you do this, I wouldn't want to be on your team or in a clan with you.

But you could join a clan and squad with them, you should win more and get advice to improve your hanger.

don't downgrade rank as that's part of the huge issue in this game seal clubbing is hated by many and the reason many leave the game before they've even started , instead learn to defeat your opponents it's tough but you learn much better facing stronger enemies then weaker ones....

i run a 4 bot hanger totally f2p and i'm in diamond 2 it gets tough but you learn new things fast.

@Sohbar all I can say is welcome to War Robots! This is the same problem everyone has (unless you whip out your credit card and dump a few hundred dollars into your hangar.) From here on you should expect to usually be in the bottom of your team, with an occasional and elusive "Holy crap! I got top score? ME?! WHAT?!"

You can tank if you want to, but that is just a really boring way to play imo.

The best way to play is in small chunks. Get your Daily Challenge OXP and gold, try to get a few tasks done, upgrade a weapon, and go do something else. Anymore than this is just an exercise in frustration. Maintain your sanity and walk away.

Maybe you've already found what works for you, but if you want some unsolicited bot setup advice:

Many new bots peek out to use their ability, then go to cover when the ability cools down, so weapons that can hit behind cover are useful, like Noricum (which can do some satisfying damage when leveled up), Pin and Tulumbas can hit bots right next to cover and you can go to cover while they restock, Spiral rockets I don't use personally, but seem to be most effective using 4 together.

You should eventually get Stalker and Gust from crates, and that has worked really well for me as a more front-line robot (I can hear the paying players laughing). Gareth too works well with shotguns to close with enemies who use energy weapons. I've run right up to many Ares, gotten in their shields, and blasted them with my shotguns before they realized what I was up to.

Also, learning to use modules effectively will help. Shieldbreaker on a robot with bust damage like shotguns or Tulumbas can give any shielded enemy a nasty surprise. Quantum radar with any high damage per second weapon that does not require time to lock on works well.

And if you want some unsolicited purchasing advice:

Last November I got a month of Premium and Operation Pass, and I have to say it didn't help much. I was upgrading weapons like mad with the time boost, but at the end of the month, I was basically in the same spot. And OXP is hard to get even with Premium because of my low league and getting bottom scores when the rest of my team is Expert League or higher. So I don't recommend Premium.

Operation Pass might be worth it if you can get at least half of the rewards. I had some medical leave from work, so I had a lot of free time in November, played a lot of WR, and barely got lvl 60 (I think). Now, without that free time, I would not buy Operation Pass again.

Sometimes there is a deal for a $5 bot, and if it's one you like, that's a good deal.

Once, and only once, I got a deal for 1000 gold for $1. Any other deal for gold is not good imo.

They nerfed gust, but storm with pilot group shot is very good.

Thanks for your advice guys. I've spent some money since the beginning on offers of few money, cuz this is game is more expensive than if it is a MMORPG and I don't it requiered so much work. I think the game is expensive. But considering the situation, I doubt I'll put more money onto this cuz I don't think it is worth it. I have one decent robot a Fujin with taran, it can win a duel against other fujin, but the problem is that against other robots with more advanced weapons it has no chances. I've seen crazy things like player going like rambo taking damage and kill the full squad receiving damage but repairing and the whole squad shoots at him even surviving sometimes for another assault. This guys can't be in the same league than you. So to avoid frustraition I've began to play for chunks of 30 mins with boost.

In workshop, start making the newer bots first.

Newer bots with old weapons, work better than old bots with new weapons.

Ao Jun, Leech, Phantom, Ares, Fenrer, Invader, Eldrich Ares, Nemesis, Loki, Falcon, Strider and Blitz are some I have and have used.

Some are cheaper to make and upgrade than others and depends on your play style too.

I don't play with a squad so I have a bot for every situation in the game. I have one sniper bot, one beacon runner bot, one tank bot that eats damage, one healing bot to heal team mates and also help me get more silver after a match, and another bot for up close combat.

Lots of squads send me a invite to their squad but I never accept it because I just enjoy lonewolfing it. I like to have a bot for everything so If others on my team are lacking in areas then I can always fill that role up to some point.

You get extra gold for the first few squad wins so it is worth doing because if you play each day thats an extra 900 free gold per month. Best advice i can give you is to watch youtube channels like manni gaming etc and search out vids like how to play without paying and what bots and weapons are worth upgrading. There are weapons you have right now that work well in champion league as well as stuff that seems awesome but turns out to quickly be a waste of time. Find a bot or 2 at most that you like and works in champion league and work hard on that. If I could go back in time i wouldn't do that slow even upgrade of everything that just leaves you under equipped with everything. Punisher Ts Avengers Tridents tulumbas these should be your best friends. and stuff like zeniths and noricums avoid like the plague they look great in the low leagues but are effectively useless when you get to gold or Diamond. Interim stuff to get you through is fine but dont waste resources upgrading anything you can't use in champions league. As for operations you can pay for the bottom line anytime so play for free till its nearly over look at what you will instantly get and then decide. because sometimes you get an awesome bot and good weapons. premium gets you more silver and xop than you would otherwise get plus reduces upgrade times I always use it but can always just use it when it is worthwhile to you
