I dont like the game. I LOVE IT. Why? Because its nothing like I have played before. Its not only about going fast forward. You need to thing plan and the reward is great. Sure the physics are not good, but the whole dakar simulation as an event, dynamic weather for quck races is fantastic. If someone expect Dirt or MX GP Pro physics he will be disappointed but as i said, physics are the most important thing in this game.

It was just a fun self-presentation, which the reviewer made back in 2014. By the way, he hates Diablo III and that was an inside joke. His favourite genre are car simulations and racing games and trust me: he knows, what he talks about.

It didn't look boring during my playthrough, it has some problems and it's far from perfect but "boring" isn't an adjective i would use, you have to be constantly focus to avoid losing the correct path.
It's clearly something different from usual racing games and it's something you have to like before buying otherwise there's the risk of finding it boring,
I made only one entire Dakar Rally in this game, i'll wait for future updates to try again but there are also people that are playing it daily.
The only thing i found boring is that you harldy encounter other vehicles (and if you encounter them, they are all of the same class).
It still doesn't feel like a Dakar experience to me

Finished 4 times, 3 at legend (the real way to play it). Love it.

It's only boring if you don't understand rally raid (or understand it but dislike it). This isn't WRC. The focus is on navigation, not just going flat-out. I think the game did a GREAT job at giving us a realistic rally raid game. The previous Dakar games did not, and play just like the Colin McRae games, except worse. I think the disappointment the masses are feeling with this game comes from misplaced expectations, and not understanding what rally raid is.

So this review says that the game is boring because he doesnt know how to play it?
His only points are that you cannot look at the dirt because you will crash. Offcourse youll crash if you dont pay attention!
The loading times are ''long''. Well its not a massivly fast loading game but there are hundreds of games with way longer loadtime
And lets not get started about what he says about getting lost, that part is just idiotic....
