Extreme Screen Tearing

Am I the only one who has had excessive screen tearing when any flashing lights appear in this game? I never had this issue when I played it back in 2007 for pc. Find it kinda odd.

I can't be the only person having this issue. I have a 6850 Double Dissapation XFX card.

Have you tried turning on v-sync or turning down your monitors refresh rate?

yeah v-sync will sort that out

V-Sync does in fact NOT sort that problem out. I have it turned on and also experience that extreme light tearing.

Also I have a horizontal "bar" of tearing all the way through. Tears with the slightest camera movement. Terribly annoying!

I'd say it's thanks to new Nvidia-Drivers, since I already had problems with "too new" drivers and Bioshock 2 in the past. Though I need a current version for other games, so there's no chance that I will step down to older drivers for one poorly programmed Bioshock.

I'll keep looking for other solutions. If I find one, I'll let you know here.

Uhm...it works. Somehow. Yesterday I hade these problems. Now I just tested it without changing ANY settings, and the tearing is gone.

It's cause v-sync has to be forced on, (at least for me) through the cards options out of the game. If anyone still has problems with this.

you have to enable vsync and have the video card settings set to use application settings for vsync.
if the video card is set to force no vysnc, it wont matter if you turn it on in the game
