trying to hack, uses eve hypo

i'm getting a bit frustrated when i try to hack flying turrets. i zap them and then press the X button but instead of hacking, it uses an eve hypo. i'm seriously running out of eve hypops now and that really shouldn't be happening. any ideas if this is a bug or anyone else have this issue?

the controller map is automatic.

What controller are you using? If it's not a xbox 360 controller, many games, including bioshocks and most anything bsed on old unreal engines, will not work quite right.

If the bug present at all when you use the keyboard?

not sure. I use a 360 controller. it's like in the xbox 360 version of teh game, all the same buttons I think. it seems like teh same button is being used for eve hypo and hacking, but maybe the option to hack is not working properly or maybe it's just meant to be really hard to do. hacking other devices doesn't pose a problem, like ground turrets and health stations.

My only guess then is that the button is context sensive...ie, when you're standing still and aren't targeting things, pressing it uses a hypo. If you try to hack something and miss even slightly, it would go back to the base behavior, not what it's supposed to do while facing hackables

Also, shot in the dark here, you can only have 2 bots at once, so if you try to hack another one...context sensitive hypo.

I'll do some research for you to see if I can find it

oh thanks! actually I think you have solved the problem. I had two bots with me. I didn't realise I could only have two. that is probably why I was getting eve hypo when trying to hack it.
