BioShock

Does Bioshock support 2560 1440p resolution?
I'm planning on buying this since it's on sale, but i was just wondering if it supported this resolution. I know it's a rather old game so it probably does not, but I'm just curious and I can't find the answer anywhere across the internet.

I don't think so. I could not get mine above 1920 x 1080

Okay, thank you.

starr_007 is correct. It maxxes out at 1920 x 1080, If you tweak up the aniso and AA on your video drivers it looks pretty decent despite being an old game. It is never going to look like Bioshock Infinite though!!

Yeah, but unfortunately 1920 x 1080p looks really awkward on a 2560 x 1440p monitor. Perhaps the scaling isn't right.

I've played it on 4k before. Maybe the Steam version is different though.

Hmmm, are you sure? This is the original Bioshock though, a time when 4k resolution was not in existence. Maybe it was updated?

If you use Nvidia you can control the scaling of images on your monitor if you us nvidia control panel and the "adjust desktop size an position" screen.
You could stretch the images to fit your screen which you said looks weird, or you can scale it to the screen and keep the aspect ratio. Doing so will add black bars but they won't be to detracting.

I just re-installed it and it has a 1440p resolution setting in the graphics menu. Playing it at 144hz 1440p it's pretty dang sweet!
