RMB = switch-to-and-fire gun
V = switch-to-and-fire plasmid
T = just switch
I was trying to use the plasmids more earlier, now i'm mostly just using a gun or the wrench.
RMB = Switch between Weapon Mode and Plasmid Mode
and I don't use "switch to and fire" ever. As for switching between Plasmids, I haven't been having too much trouble because I'm using the scroll wheel and have also upgraded the amount of Plasmids I can carry to 5.
It is kind of annoying that I have to readjust to how many scrolls of my wheel it takes to get to a certain plasmid, though.
By the way, I've never encountered the weapons changing places. So I don't know how to help you there.
That wasn't' a problem after all. That only happened because i picked up a pistol a splicer had dropped before i retrieved all of my weapons from the pneumo tube in Fontaine's. When i collected them all, they were all in the right place.
I'm using the wrench more and more as the game progresses. I have lots of wrench perks.
- self-healing + eve regen when hitting with it
- damage boost
- chance to freeze opponents
- lurker perk for hitting unaware enemy
- invisibility cloak (not a wrench perk, but helps me get in close)
- shock enemy when they hit me (helps when i'm in close)
The spider splicers go down in one hit. I tried to take out mr bubbles with the wrench, but that didn't work out so well for me :)
Well that's good to hear. Like you, I too was coming from Infinite and at first found the control scheme to be a little odd. However, it didn't take too long before I got used to them. I still think that pressing RMB to switch between Weapons and Plasmids rather than using "Switch to and Fire" is better because it lets you select the Plasmid you want to use BEFORE you use your EVE.
Question: how the ♥♥♥♥ does one play an FPS with a controller after using a mouse period?
Good thing I started with the first game. xD
Erm... when you fight Fontaine the only weapon besides Camera you have is the Wrench. We all had to beat him using Wrench and Plasmids.
Oh right, yeah. That's what I was thinking of because you fight Peach in Fontaine Fishery. I take that back.
But now, when I replay game with a controller, it's all wonderful. So easy now to understand where plasmids and weapons are since they're separated with left and right triggers, it becomes intuitive. Of course, aiming is not that good when with KB/M, but at least I always shoot with what I want.
