I have i9 Intel CPU and RTX NVIDIA GPU.
• If it exists, Delete Bioschock game folder in your Documents folder
This will remove any local save games
• If it exists, Delete Folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Bioshock
That way you get a full config reset
"Username" will be specific to you and your computer
In order to see these folders you will need to "show hidden folders and files" in Windows 11
• add -nointro to the games launch options in steam properties for the game.
• game executable properties check "disable fullscreen optimizations"
You could also select Windows XP compatibility mode but I didn't have to do that.
• Check if you have openal installed in windows 11
If not, installing openal will let you select EAX sound in game settings
https://www.openal.org/downloads/ download Windows Installer, not SDK
***openal enables EAX without the need for a creative sound card.
i also installed openAL but that didnt seem to work as well even after a computer restart
Sorry I wasn't able to help.
