ADAM Harvesting Tool Vanished SOLVED

I got the tool the first time but when I left the Proving Grounds to check for anything I missed and I came back, seems the game kind of thought I didn't escort the Little Sister to the elevator area. So now when that sequence happens, the Little Sister seems to offer me her tool but the problem is it's invisible. Oh and I can't reload an earlier save because they're all overwritten RIP.

Update: Nevermind, I still have the save I had just when I entered Proving Grounds the first time. But that means I lose all my progress going back to re-visit old areas to save some Little Sisters I missed, and upgrading some of my combat tonics RIP.

Update: Turns out the game does remember me having that weapon somehow, despite it not showing up in my inventory. I was still able to successfully defeat Fontaine because the prompt to drain him of Adam showed up, so it worked out in the end and I didn't have to lose progress that I saved.
