Hephaestus Core door won't open

No matter what I try, I listen to Anya's tape to trigger the action where the splicers burst through the door but nothing happens!! This darn game >.<

If you are on about the door which leads to the office of Andrew Ryan (the one with the circuit breaker switch), the door wont open as it is in lockdown mode. The game tells you how to open it too. Find Pablo's workspace in the heat loss monitoring section and find some way to generate a sympathetic overload in harmonic core 3.

It's when you reach his office door, try to open it but it says to look for clues on how to get the door i mentioned open... The one that the splicers cut through to open. I search the body and get the clue needed but it just does nothing. It plays the tape, which I know is around 30 seconds long, continuously, even though there is no sound. The whole game has been buggy with sound but I just ignored that. It's when I literally can't progress that it annoys me :-/
