Thanks for the tip regardless of how it turns out for my case.
Update:
- Opened XBox App, went to settings (DVR) and disabled recording and screen shots options.
- Steam Overlay and Desktop Game Theater are disabled
- Start up parameters for the BioShock executable are no Desktop UI scaling
File specifics
Game Executable location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BioShock Remastered\Build\Final\Bioshock.exe
right click game .exe, select properties then compatibility tab check Disable display scaling.
Note: still trying out a few other things right now - I'll be back.
First I got an error as soon as I entered the game and it didn't let me do anything. I had windows 10, so I thought it was suddenly because of the operating system. I looked for countless videos and blogs where they could give me some solution, I tried everything and there I was not allowed to enter the game.
I decided to format my computer and install the factory version of it to Windows 8.1, I reinstalled the game, this time I went in and I could "start a game" since I barely finished the first scene of the game I went to the main screen some . I did the same process of starting the game twice and none worked for me. So I decided to look for a video or something that could help me.
What happened next was something I don't know what happened. Literally, only the game faded and my computer crashed. I can't find a clear solution and I don't know what to do after so many attempts.
What GPU are you using and how much system RAM do you have --is it a desktop or laptop. Are your graphics drivers up to date? The basic system spec information for your current hardware would help tremendously in getting you assistance.
press the change high dpi button
on the new menu that comes up put a tick in the first checkbox
then on the first combo box select "I open the program"
next put a tick in the second checkbox, and then in the second combox, select "system (enhaced)"
in the main compatibility menu try clicking the option "Disable fullscreen optimizations"
and of course you could also try using the run as administrator option
