Cutscene Black Bars Glitch *SOLVED*
Hi all.

Decided to play through Bioshock, the original version, and got to the best part of the game where the plot twist hits. Unfortunately, the scene is ruined by the black borders / bars that appear during the cutscene. It crops out the best part of the scene, a certain character getting a golf club to the face. The bars are covering the head. Other versions of this game don't have this problem, so I'm assuming it's unique to the original PC port.

Anyway to fix this? Can I get rid of the black bars?

This appears to be fixed for the Remastered version of Bioshock. Am I going to have to replay the whole game to see it properly? This is very disappointing!

Figured out what was wrong. After limiting my FPS to 60 using RivaTuner the camera properly aligned with the action, meaning that the focal point was pulled upwards and the scene played out as intended. I didn't think my game was running above 60 fps, but apparently that was the source of my problem!

Thanks for the help, I'll make sure to lock mine at 60 to make sure.
