Is Bioshock not a lore-rich game?
Bioshock put more effort into its history and backstories compared to almost all the other games I've played, but it's not tagged "lore-rich" on the store page. Do I just not understand the definition of this word?

I believe the developers have to add this tag to their games and I'm guessing they just never have?

They're user-defined tags. If enough (I don't know exactly how many) users add a tag, then it will appear regardless of whether the developers added it.

Interesting I must learn this feature, how do you tag a game?

go to the store page, ctrl f "Popular user-defined tags for this product:", and click the "+" button under that text

Man, tags are long running jokes
Under tags, like sexualized content, horror and family guy, you most likely can find only Ikea Sumulator or Russian Fishing 4
Don't rely on them too much

I always felt like that tag probably fits a game like Dragon Age or LotR better because they had much more in-depth world building. You can read books worth of outside material to understand those games while Bioshock gives you all of the details in a relatively short amount of time (partly because it is basically historical fiction). Bioshock's story is amazing but I think to be considered "lore-rich" the city would have had to have been around for a much longer period of time.

Okay so I did misunderstand the definition. I should probably play some of those real lore-rich games in the future.

Maybe you should mostly rely on immersive sims or rpg genre for lore rich gaming

Its not really lore heavy its three small games. Something like warhammer is lore rich. Elderscrolls, LOTR anything with a cohesive connected world and history within it.

There's way more lore put into Elder Scrolls than these games. To me, BioShock feels like a mix of Elder Scrolls and Half Life but worse. Maybe it's just the terrible controls and awkward physics that turn me off idk.

Maybe your opinion is just wrong and ass.

Maybe you shouldn't post off-topic replies on a question that was already answered.
