Are The Vita Chambers Canon?

Some of you may point out I have barely any hours put into BioShock Remastered on my Steam, well, good point, but I just want to say, that might be because I already beat BioShock on my PS3 when I didn't own a Gaming PC, & I even played halfway through BioShock 2, Hell, I even read the book BioShock: Rapture, but one question I always had was, are the Vita Chambers canon? I know sometimes a game has a non-canon game, or a scene in a game that is no longer canon, so it makes me think if Vita Chambers should be canon at all, in my opinion, it kinda breaks the story, not to say the story is ruined, just say it is a small break that bothers me, ultimate reason being is, why doesn't any of the sane characters in Rapture use the Vita Chamber? Why doesn't Ryan use it? Why don't the Splicers use it? Or the Big Daddies & Big Sisters use it? & if you really think about it, ♥♥♥♥ Rapture, the Vita Chamber beats Rapture in terms of innovation, it was made to revive humans back from the dead, & for the people that actually managed to escape Rapture, why aren't they running around the US shouting out how an invention made to revive human life has been made? (SPOILERS FOR BIOSHOCK: RAPTURE NOVEL) Why didn't Bill McDonagh use the Vita Chamber if he wants to be with his family so badly?

Well the question is, why didn't andrew ryan use the vita chamber? It could be expained that he wanted the main character to kill fontaine, since he knew fontaine would use the powers from rapture to take over the world or destroy it or whatever. Then again, fontaine only got full power over rapture after jack killed ryan, so this makes no sense either...

He turned off the Vita Chamber. It could also be explained that he tried to break Jack free by initiating a Command to kill his Biological Father and possibly breaking the genetic instruction through an emotional connection, however he ultimately failed and died. Not only that, but he initiated the self destruct on THE ENTIRE CITY, which means Jack wasn't supposed to grab the Genetic Key, but because Fontaine used "Would You Kindly" on Jack again, he was genetically forced to.

THey're canon. The vita chambers were made for only Andrew Ryan or someone else with Similar genetic code, which is why Jack is able to use it.

Well, first he revealed the genetic command and demonstrated it's effects on Jack. And remember when Andrew said his dying words, "A man chooses, a slave obeys" before saying over and over again "OBEY"? He was trying to get Jack to realize further that he was being controlled and to break free of the command.

I have seen some vita-chamber posters suggesting it was but a healing chamber, usable by anyone. Not "ressurrection" one. So in the game it was just used as "spawn points" after death. I personally disable the vita-chambers. I believe, as they are "disable-able" they wouldn't be mentioned at all during the story -- nor affect game lore.

But it was really intriguing why nobody used it at all. So I just accepted they are checkpoints to make us immortals.

Nobody actually was able to. They were only made to suit Andrew Ryan's DNA, or someone with similar genetic code, like Jack.

This ads everywhere suggests it was at least once put in production and available to the public. This could have been just a lore-breaking prop. People reading the novel could tell that better. :)

Not necessarily. There can be ads that advertise something that hasn't come out yet, and could just be "coming soon".
