What skill is used when I jig-step with pilker?

Hello I was unable to find answer to this question. If I invest 3 points in Jigging skill and I use a pilker at Norwegian sea to catch using >jig step<, which points will be used: Pilking or Jig? Because there are some pilkers that are designed for jigging. Thank you!

I think you are confusing the type of rig and lure with the type of action.

If you have 3 points into the "jigging rig", the effectiveness of any lure used on that rig is increased, regardless of whether you pirking or jig-step or whatever.

The efficiency of the pilker is not increased by those 3 points, simply because a pilker is not used with the jigging rig, the one you put the points into.

Put those points into the pilker rig, and its effectiveness of any pilker will increase, regardless of whether you use jig-step or pirking.

Basically, the skill points are tied to the rig, not the way you fish it.

Hello, no confusion here. For example I have pilker lure. I have 3 points into Jigging skill. Will these 3 points apply if I use pilker lure for jig-step? Or do they apply only to Jig Head lure? Thanks!
