For example: I have 3 points into "fishing with an inline rig" and buy a rod that provides "+3 to the use of an inline-rig." When using THAT rod, I will have a total of "+6" points working toward the effectiveness of the inline rig.
The obscure part is, we don't know "how much" or to what degree this actually increases your chances. We can see the exact percentage with something like the experience multipliers, but in this case ofc the actual numbers or units are not known, nor can we really even guess them due to the complete lack of info on our part. Rng too.
PS: Another point. Here is a forum question and dev-answer from just a few days ago.
Q: Does a rod with 10% to skill help if your skill is already 100% does it make it 110% and what is that effect if so bite rate trophy or nothing at all
A: (Joe - RF4 Admin) Hello,
The bonus does indeed stack. The effect is comparable to a skilled rig: you will increase the general bite and trophy chance. The cool thing about the fishing style bonus is that it applies to all rigs, which makes these additional 10% quite effective.
Ah i see, thank you for the answer bro, appreciate it <3
