You still see when someone catches a trophy but I think chatting to others is by message only now
Chat has been generally much quieter with the flood of Catches disabled.
There are still occasional chat and knowledge sharing at the two lower maps.
Since people aren't ' comparing ' or distracted with the blue words, most
might be more concentrated at their own fishing, in private chat channels or sitting within the Competition Chat.
The usual cries of ' Fish Spot plzzz ' still pops up once awhile,
rather hard to find people to have short conversation of other topic due to language/region barriers.
Pretty used to not seeing ' Catches' , more peaceful and immersive.
( usually had it off or sits in Competition )
Over 200~350 at the same time in a small area on Mosquito Lake, with the flood spams,
seems taxing for the game and even for personal systems.
* If it may help the game run smoother and stable, might not be a bad thing.
We are working to improve the in-game chat and some chat functions, but it will take some time. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Levo
startup of game and loading of game resource, noticed exponentially ' faster ',
into the lakes, compared since the end of year and event,
something went right in that department.
That was the next best thing after the observed Stability.
Hence used the words ' Used to not seeing ... '
Not just about a visual, of personal choice in wanting to see or not to see.
Always felt and ' assumed there is a bigger issue ' behind the scene, between
the Number of Players, Connected Users in an area, the Flood and flow of Catch and other info, in a cluttered and limited capability little box,
the flow of information might be stacking and stalking in the background,
regardless ON/ OFF.
May take up game/system resources, increased system and cpu heat, collective clutters, stutter and lag the loading of statistics, interface or unfortunate outcomes.
Imagine a sheer amount of connected users all once in an area, especially
' Holidays ', ' Events ' and ' Peak Hours/weekends ', or
for the ' lets come write a review period '.
May just be a spark for ' Stressful ' duration for server and of
its past ' chat disabled ' moments,
noted in some older posts brought up over the years.
recent Vague post for better Chat and ' Mannerism ', since the topic is game chat.

Believe many others been hoping for a better, cleaner chat, and awaits the improvements the dev had planned.
