Trouble With Snags Question :/

Hello,
I am a relative novice to this game, but I am really enjoying it so far. I have heard that buying the most expensive lures is a bad strategy for this game, so I opt for the less expensive lures mostly.

Although I am buying these inexpensive lures, I find myself spending more money on lures than anything else in-game due to snags. These snags seems impossible to release(I have spent at least 10 minutes trying to get my newest lure unsnagged tonight) and every time I have to cut the line I am wasting money.

I have already read the RF4 dev forum on snags and followed their direction, but I still cant get any of my snagged lures unstuck! if you have any pointers on this issue, or on the gameplay as a whole I will gladly read and reply!

if your snaged try to re log or try traveling to next lake

yea lures get stuck often. don't waste your hard earned money and restart the game before the lure breaks off.

if you relog your items go back in your inventory then relog and you have your lure back you just have to run back to the fishing spot

yes try alt+f4 and reset game , cheaper then cut line

Hi. To avoid snags in the first place, try not to cast directly into water lilies or pieces of wood in the water. Retrieve the lure close to it but not right through it. The fish will still become aware of the lure and follow it from their hiding places.

I don't know where you got this from, but it is false. Higher quality lures will perform better over time. The only reason to buy "cheaper" ones over them is to have more options when looking for the hot ones.

Lure snags should be super rare unless you're purposely casting into tainted water, like lilies and over branches. If you can't unsnag, just reload the game.

You don't need to cast right into obstacles. It's fine to just cast next to them.
