Fix Leaders

I keep having my leaders cut by small pike teeth. My last leader was a steel 16 kg and was cut by a pike's teeth that couldn't have been more then 1.5 kg. I know this because when reeling it in the line and the rod were not stressed in the slightest. The fish had no fight in it at all. I even once watched a small perch cut my leader just as I pulled it out of the water. This game seems rigged so I keep losing my expensive lures in an attempt to make me buy gold to replace lost lures. This keeps happening over and over. Do us all a favour and fix this garbage.

Are you sure you're using steel leaders? I've not had one steel leader been bit through after a lot of spinning. I've only ever had one fluoro leader thats been bit through on Kouri by a massive pike, and caught plenty of 4kg+ on Fluoro leaders with no issue?

Hi @Xeonic84 , you had two line cuts from pike today. One cut was on pure 45 lb mono, the other one on a 16 kg mono leader. Even the bigger pike can not cut a steel leader in the game.

LMAO. Check again. Look between 2200 and 2300 last night mountain standard time September 11. You will see a 16 kg steel leader cut by fish teeth. I'm 100% sure it was steel because I was tired of losing lures and specifically purchased steel to stop it from happening, but it happened again.

in the last 3 days:

• 2x line cuts without leader
  
• 1x cut with fluoro
  
• 2x cut with mono leader

We are always happy to provide gameplay tips as well as taking criticism, but you need to let us help you. The log files are clear about you not using a steel leader.

TpCatch_DE if you look into the old posts archive of the official forum you will see that a few months ago i reported a couple of steel leader cuts as a bug and i was told that it wasn't a bug because sometimes the fish can cut even the steel ledears.
You really need to check this with the devs imo.

@DrCulocane In very rare cases, the pike is able to cut the leader if it's a short one and the tension is low. The game simulates the pike 'overbiting' the leader and hitting the main line. Keeping the tension high can prevent this from happening.

Never had a steel or carbon steel leader cut by pike teeth in hundreds of hours gameplay with fish up to 9kgs, there must be another reason for your problem. Are you sure you're using steel leaders? As for the perch cutting your leader that is nonsense.
I think you are confusing your leaders...
