Leveling is way to slow.

Me and three friends started playing last week. I'm the only one left still playing and I am bored to death. I only play while I watch twitch now. My friends quit playing because the prices where to high and the leveling system is way to slow. I've got 49 hours and i am only level 13. Anyone else think this or is it just me and my friends?
Is there a faster way to level? I'm fishing with three bottom rigs at misquito lake and doing all the cafe quests. Also leveling up groundbait, harvesting, and cooking. Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong. I will probably just end up quiting and giving a bad review.

If you can go to winding rivulet it's better than mosquito lake with simillar fish size. Getting skil % from catching fish or leveling bait harvesting is bad. I've spent today atleast 500 silver just to get 1.5-2% on baitharvesting and as far as it goes for getting skil % from fish i'm happy if i even see this thing. Myby every 20 fish i get 0.1% of the skill. It is a good game and just play it the way you find it's best for you. Try more spin fishing also

May be this game is just not for you then. Why would you write a bad review for something you personally just dislike? Go, find a game that suits you better and leave out the big drama, nobody is interested in your personal view. You may also humbly accept that others seem to be happy with the game as it is? Me, for a start.

ok fanboy, i was asking if there was a faster way to level. and it isn't just my dislike of the game. I like the game I just dont like the extremely slow leveling. and yes that is worth a bad review when 3 out of 4 of us have quit playing over it. I am happy that you are happy with the game. We are not.

Brother just need find spots...use spinning and you lv fast ...just see what class of fish is in the location and you growth fast ...but you need really love fishing games for play this ..hope you find the way ...have a nice night

Here some tips. at winding rivulet there is a fish called DACE. Farm that fish with float tackle. 100g fish give about 500-600 xp, 200g around 2000+ xp. Use tiny hook, blood worm or mayfly larva as a bait. I hit lvl 16 from lvl 1 like a rocket ship. You wellcome

For spinning in winding rivulet try at 77:97, it's at the start of the small island in the river, for chub,asp,pike,perch and ide. Try using spinners and spoons, and also you can do feeder fishing there for chub. Then there's a good spot at 99:121 both for spinning and feeder fishing. Cast spoons donw the river in the deep area of the river and do jig step. You can get there asp,pike,chub,ide,perch,zander and for feeder fishing cast aroudn 30-40% to the other bank. Personaly that's the best spot for me on the river. If you have strong enough gear you can put nightcravlers on bottom tackle and try for burbot in the deep part in the middle of the river and in the weedy bits try for carp,gibble carp,crucian .

Well really like this game, its a great Fishing Simulater.

But I will agree thats it take to much time to lvl up your skills, like baitmaking for exsample, it makes no sence that I need to make wet bread out of about 100 breads before I can make a dough.

I suggest you read the "PINNED: RF4's Staff Guide". It shows you where to find the fish and how to catch them.

Also, just have fun fishing. Start small and climb up the ladder to success. That is the real reward to be had. You wouldn't want it to be TOO easy would you? Happy fishing.

Playing for free here, leveling is great. After 2-3 weeks on and off playing, already in Bear Lake (to which I am not gonna go, I do not have the gear, catfish the size of the house scare me).

You don't know what you are doing, what equipment to use and how to use it, do not read guides, do not analyze, do not search for hotspots, do not change equipment and baits for night/day/weather cycle.

I do know how to play. Where are you getting that I don't? I said me and my friends find the game leveling and skills leveling to slow. Also the prices to high. I said nothing about not reading guides or searching for hotspots.
