Length of time playing fish
We need some work on the length of time playing fish. I have just played a 2kg trout for more than 4 hours. There is no 2kg trout in the world that would last that long, it would be dead. Needs to be something like after 1 hour the fish is considered caught.

are you talking Real time? :D

No, I am talking game time. I can't imagine game time not being relevant to real time in a fishing simulation. When I am out fishing in the real world, it does not take me four hours to land a 2kg trout. I landed a 35lb salmon on medium trout gear in 50 minutes on the Rakaia River in New Zealand.

This is only a guess, but I should think the timing for playing a fish is rather related to real time than game time, since we want to experience the 'feeling' of fighting the fish. Otherwise, a panfish, like the average rotauge or whatsoever would only need a split-second to be hauled in here, which is truly not what we want to see.

So the question is: how many real time minutes do 4 hrs game time equal to?

1 hour in the game is 2 minute and 30 second real time = 150 sec real time.

1 hour in the game = 150 sec real time x 4 hour in the game split on 60 sec = 10 minute each 4 hour in the game.
4 hour in the game = 10 real time minute.

1 hour in the game = 150 sec real time x 24 hour in the game split on 60 sec = 60 real time minute each 24 hour in the game.
24 hour in the game = 60 real time minute.

Thx, Symatrix Hill. 10 Minutes for reeling in said trout sounds about right to me?

Np mate.

Well it depends on the equipment. Overpower equipment may use 10 second to reel in 2 kilo or 10 kilo fish.

Even more crazy if you lose the fish after 30 - 40 minute, did that thought strike you lol.
