how to play multiplayer

the game says multiplayer, how do i play multiplayer like rigth next to someone?

Maybe you should start over to find out the grind, I have 3 accounts in FP all maxed out not a single penny paid, but this one is ridiculous it's start to catch up around level 20 all the luck you had before just frozen and it becomes very slow grind. I guess I can wait until New Years when happy hour is given and premium can be caught.

I have, and its easier than it was when I started.
Im not arguing that it's not a grind. It is. If you don't enjoy finding and catching fish and interacting with the community outside of the game, the game is probably not for you. If you focus on trying to reach the "end game" instead of enjoying where you are, it's going to make it painful.

It takes work. But if you figure it out, it is rewarding.

"the word" has been happening since the game out, and has never been true.

Fishing with your friends and being visible sounds great in theory but wouldnt work in practice. Let me give you an example, say Bear Lake 44:50 where you could have 20 players fishing that swim, can you imagine 20 players with 60 rods on that swim ? it wouldnt work. As it is you can always go to your preferred swim and its always empty.
This is by far the most realistic fishing game I've played but reality goes out of the window when it comes to some of the pricing. I bought 3 Vengas 10000 for an obscene
amount of real cash for "virtual reels", I fell into the GC money pit as now to repair them
I can only use GCs, no option for silver. I have been carp fishing for 50 years and have 4
Shimanos LC baitrunners about 20 years old that have never been opened or serviced,
might get a clean up when I change the line and they are still as good as when I bought them and cost a lot less than the Vengas. I know how to use a reel, I dont winch the fish in, I use the rod and the reel just takes up the slack, so how do I get mechanism ware ?
I love this game but at the same time I sometimes feel like Im being scammed.
I pay for premium which is not cheap and of any real good to me as Im lvl 35 and have access to all maps anyway.
Pros and cons of the game
Pros: no lagging the gear to and from the car to the bank and your swim awaits you.
Cons: When Im fishing in the game I can still hear the wife moaning in the background.

Just to clarify, all the reparable equipment in the game can be repaired using silver coins. Using gold coins makes the repairs instant and they are 100% successful, but there is always the option to repair the gear with silver coins.

I retract that, after a trip to all the venues excl. Bear and Norway but incl. some of the spinning venues I had never visited as they dont appeal to me, at the cost of 368 silver
and a happy hour (I did cast a rod to get a perspective of distance). I found that you can get repairs for a Venga clutch with silver but only from Kuori and upwards. Gears have now appeared in the free venues that wasnt there before. I get it that the game is a business and if it came to it I would probably use gold to repair although my reels are far from needing repairs. Thanks for clarifying as this could have been a deciding factor on whether I continued playing. I dont mind admitting that I love this game .
