We need to start doing better, here on steam, on the offial forums.
Heck, I have even been putting work into the Fandom wiki for the game trying to better organize it and add more data, it comes with a message board as well and is open for anybody to contribute to.
Aim for the channel with a middle-weight cast for bottom fishing. You can also spin / float fish toward the cover on the left.
It can be a hot spot for bream at times, but the spot has a huge variety that it is never dead like other spots. You can hit chub / roach / mussles / perch / pike / Ide / vendace and more with regularity. Caught a trophy mussel there the other day, just landed a trophy roach as I was tying this.
Try a variety of baits, grubs, maggots insect type baits do seem to work well in the narrow channel.
(day feeder)120:114 - SW in 10 m hole 80%-120% -Meyfly larva, nightcrowler
(day spinning) 120:114 - S->SW, (for me good results "Hunter 1-010", "Hunter 1-003" and "Hypnotic 20-008"
(night) Cursed island - 75-90% in the 15 m hole, Fish pices, nightcrowlers
71:100 - in 6,5 m hole. 60-80%.. bait rate is ok... Pea porige, Redworm, bark beetle larva.
Nightcrawlers (can get Burbot or Catfish)
71:100 - 6,5 m hole 60-80%... Redworm, Caster, Pea porrige.. (mostly rouch 350g - 1,1kg)
groundbait - Bream mix, Mix-"Pea barley"+"Fly maggots"and "Milley porige"
Last night I caught the all time USA record at over 36kg!
Feeder fishing along the banks B6 - B7 fishing the river channel between the island and the main land. Best spot was near the campfire, will try and get the exact coords later. There is a little point that sticks out where you can cast straight south off the edge of some reeds.
Nightcrawlers, Halibut and grass boilies seem to work well. I can't make grass carp GB yet, that would be ideal, but regular carp isn't working too bad.
Update: 28:76 is the point you can stand on and cast just off the reeds into the channel.
Good spot that Mc Templeton thnx
Cast from dry cape, needs a full power cast , feeder rod use basic bottom rig and pva, a carp rod would prob be able to cast a feeder and bait if you don't have pva unlocked.
Fish pieces, crawlers best baits, others work, try red worms for a few bream and small bream species.
Burbot at night too.
Gb for sturge I use dartaktv recipe: rapeseeds, dried crustaceans, zebra mussels, clay, and caviar smell. Not cheap but pays off if you get a few sturge and sters.
I'm not saying that this is the way you should spin, but this was the most succesful for me.
Try to cast your lure right under the tree, with retrieveing speed of 20. I found that the lures that work best are the spinners and spoons. I had very little succes with jigging. The Heaven Creek series works best, especially the Elegance Spin 1-009 (chub between 1 - 2.8 kg, ide 500g - 1.8 kg, and the ocasional asp 400 g - 1.5 kg), almost every cast resulting in a fish, especially early morning or early evening. Next most succesful lure is the Syberia Dragonfly Stream 4 -001, that's if you like pike, almost every fish caught with this was a pike, again, every 2-3 casts resulting in a fish (500 g - 3 kg). From the spoons I had most succes with Heaven Creek Hypnotic 7-004 (chub, mostly), Kiruuna Hunter 3-001 and Kiruuna Veikko 14-001 (pike, mostly).
For the feeder and float fishermen this spot is also a good one. I cast my feeders at the same spot, right under the tree. I caught some nice catfish (6.7 kg) here with fishpieces also burbot (1-2 kg) river mussel and crayfish. If you don't have fishpieces try some redworms or nightcrawlers with the same result. I had some nice chubs, ide and common carp (1.5 - 3 kg) with corn on bottom and float, too.
Again, this is my experience, just sharing.
Have fun and see you in the game.
Had one trophy gibel and one trophy crucian, plus loads of others with tick marks.
Using set up as advised above.
NOTE WELL. These boilies are out of stock at mosquito in these sizes!
Just finished.
I ended up with 3 trophy Crucians and 1 Trophy gibel, in about 90 minutes.
Made about 150 silver so good money for a lower level player :)
