Crashes on Startup / Unreal Error

Please help.
I only played this game for 1.75 hrs. I actually was enjoying even though the controllers are extremely unruly on the Oculus Quest w/ Touch. Then I tried starting the game many, many times in over two days time and it just hangs on the black screen with intro text OR the steamVR loading screen forever. Sometimes I don't get an error message and sometimes I do get an Unreal error message asking me to send a report. Of course now, for trying to start the game so many times, Steam says I've played for 2 hours but I have not actually.

My PC specs should be more than sufficient:
I also updated my bios, AMD GPU drivers a month ago, so I can't imagine what the issue might be. I'm on Windows 10

I've had a similar issue when trying to use with my quest 2. Not sure if it's the same but I've started using my rift s to play instead. I have found it seems to work fine when I run the program from steam but if starting from the oculus menu, it doesn't work most of the time. If you're using virtual desktop, I would try link and make sure to start from steam. Hopefully that will work for you.

Huge thanks - using Virtual Desktop with the Pico4 and had the same crash on startup. Launching SteamVR from within Virtual Desktop and then launching the game from within the Steam VR environment worked fine.
(albeit with really fiddly controls still - but that's an issue I think others have suggestions for)

Sorry not trying to necro the thread, just reporting in: Bought the game, using Steam Link, and as soon as it tried to load it crashes and gives an UE4 error. I've petitioned for a refund, looks like the game is just awfully outdated and won't work with newer stuff. /shrug
