There are not many mods available, but the best one i recommend to everyone is Karadoc's Apoc Mod

He tried to balance a great deal of the early-mid-end game with success. I had many fun playthroughs with this mod. As you may know, Toxiguns are kind of overpowered and ruins the challenge of the late game. This mod fixes it all. Be warned that this mod will make the game much tougher to beat.

Oh! They fixed the Turnbased bug huh? Im waiting for Karadoc to integrate it in his patch, kind of (or do they work together without problems?)
Do you think you could upload the patched TACP.EXE? I'm running it in dosbox but it seems to freeze upon execution... Much appreciated!
