Security Stations
Built them along the entrance lift & vehicle repair bay. Disrupter tech. During one of the UFO incursions the ship load up the aliens into my HQ. So got base invasion event during a fire fight between my air crafts & the UFOs.

During the battle the security station behaviour was puzzling. A brain sucker was able to run the gauntlet with no auto fire from them during the aliens' turn. It went past 3 stations like walking in the park. Is this intended or the devs. forgot to address this?

If the brainsucker started the fight as a brainsucker it would have been killed by the security stations. If it was a pod that hatched, the turn it hatches it counts as an "item" rather than an "enemy" so wont cause reaction fire from security stations (for some reason this ONLY happens to security stations, your units reaction fire as intended). The odd little bugs in turn based are one of the many reasons I like real time more.

I get it if the anthopod is killed & the pods hatch in the next turn. However in my case it was during their turn. No hatchings. Think your explanation about this being a bug is the real answer.
