Fix for Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG'

If you’ve encountered this error:

“Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')”

Below are two approaches you can go forward with to fix it:

Method 1 (manually)

Please keep in mind that this is a registry edit. Improperly editing your registry may have serious consequences. Please read carefully and apply this method at your own risk.

Go to this link:

There you will find a section called “TdrDelay.”

This will provide you all the information you need to create a registry key that will change the delay time

To open your registry on Win 10 OS, Use ‘Type here to search’ (or use RUN) and enter, “regedit” to access it.

Now you should have your Registry Editor up. This is where you will use the info from the link above to fix the issue.

First, navigate to the key path:


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers

Right click on GraphicsDrivers and go to new> DWORD (32 bit) value

You will see a new key. Name it "TdrDelay" Right click and select "modify"

Under Value data, enter 10 (this is the number of seconds to delay). Make sure you have Decimal selected as the base.

Lastly, hit okay and restart your OS.

Download TDR Manipulator

Run the application and change the TdrDelay value to 10

Restart your os system.

i did everything guys i'm still getiing the error
i did both method
i updated : windows, Geforce Driver , also My DX12,11
my space : 2080 rtx,8700k,16R 3200 DDR4,
i don't know why i'm gettings this crash every day for 8-7 times per day and the cause losing of my gears every day and making the game stupid
if it's gona countny like that for long time i'm gona leave it , sorry

Okay. Yesterday I have played the game for a very long time without any errors. That's good. But today after a few minutes in the server I get the D3D error again...a few times again and again after a few minutes in the server.
