Major glitch, impossible to get through Riviere Turquoise

Hi, folks! I'm stuck on Riviere Turquoise, right after the pixies and the time warp. The following screen requires for me to drop down, but once I drop past the first screen, it stops loading sprites and my Messenger goes beyond the limit of the screen and doesn't die! Can you help me out, please? Thanks!

I know what section of the game you're talking about, I believe. Are you 16-bit ninja, then you take the time warp on the left and become 8-bit? This is incorrect and should be the other way around. I'm not sure how you ended up in this situation unless you were doing this glitch.

You can either upload your save file and then I could edit it to make sure you're in the correct era, or you can restart Rivière Turquoise from the very beginning.

Thanks for your prompt answer! I managed to find a workaround (unknowingly) to this bug: I still had two power shards (those green medals, I don't know their names since I'm playing those in portuguese) to get in Glacial Peak! I thought I might change the "status quo" that triggered this bug, but I probably returned to that section in 8bit and then warped to a 16bit correctly this time. You nailed it! Thank you so much once again!
