Xbox controller not working on Epic Games

I got this game for free a while back on Epic Games, and decided to finally play it. But for some reason the jump button is also bound to the start button? I don't have this problem with any other game on epic games or on steam, and messing around with controller settings in-game have no effect. Any idea how to fix this?
