I loved the game, and the picnic in itself is not that hard, but that final race is making me bite my own teeth.
What a change of pace to what is otherwise a fun and relaxing game!
That experience with the DLC kinda ruined my whole feeling about the game now.
If I'm ever to recomend this game to someone, I'll tell them to stick to the main game and leave this godawfull DLC be..
I like this it this way tho. I played platformers where they went full force on the difficulty and the game just suffers for it, thankfully Sabotage didnt do that with the messenger.
I thought the race was epic and enjoyed the difficulty because, for me, it showed how much skill the Dark Messenger had story-wise, making him a worthy rival for the hero.
Some of the challenges surrounding the Power Seals are still the most difficult things the game throws at you, but they make you feel like you've properly mastered a mechanic.
If gliding with ring momentum had been a thing the game asked of me at any prior point, if I'd been given the opportunity to practice it at any point, it wouldn't be so infuriating, but the only way to practice it is to repeatedly restart a gauntlet from the beginning for one short stint of practice before you inevitably lose again because the dark messenger does it almost flawlessly
