But then, just back tracking in all the map I already done to find gems, nope , no thanks.
I don't totally disagree with you there. It definitely feels nice at first to see how you're not upgraded character can traverse those older areas much quicker, but for me, that too got boring after awhile.
I ended up using a guide in order to give me the quickest and most efficient path, I just wish that didn't feel like it was necessary.
I feel the same way with you here. First act was fine. Second act, they lost me. I stumbled in finding the first music note, then I gave up and looked up a guide for the next one. This guide was meant to be "best route" for speedrunners. I found it hilarious how slow this method was!
Every step was a LONG and arduous run to each objective, with extremely cryptic clues. They even make you pay for the clues if you don't understand them and put a marker on the map.
The game is great, and the story very funny. But making a joke and then making the joke a reality is not fun. Yes, there are new places to explore, but they are all so out of the way to reach them. It's nearly pointless to even have portals to take you to the zone.
