Usually, i play hard platformers using keyboard, but i completed Hollow Knight and some of other metroidvanias using gamepad, so, i dunno what to use.

Gamepad feels much more comfortable to use in platformers where you do not have to aim and you attack just in front of you. In this particular game I was unable to defeat one of the bosses (Queen of Quills) until I switched to gamepad.

Jump, crouch, move left, move right, jump, melee attack, ranged attack, hook, map, inventory. I think that is all.
