There a way to see one's death count?

Just finished the game and just wanna find out what my death count was at the end. Any way to find out other than dying constantly?

There's no normal way to figure it out. But if you upload your SaveGame.txt, I can tell you what your death count is. Your SaveGame.txt is located at
C:\Users\This is your name\AppData\LocalLow\Sabotage Studio\The Messenger

Otherwise, you can attempt to figure it out yourself.

Open up SaveGame.txt with a text program such as Notepad. The save file looks like it's comprised of gibberish, but each character can be translated into English. This is what it looks like if your death count is 0.

Ctrl + F this phrase.

There are 3 results, for each of the save files, so you want the first result if your save file is in slot 1.

Translate the numbers after the » for your death count.
0 = ± (U+00B1)
1 = ° (U+00B0)
2 = ³ (U+00B3)
3 = ² (U+00B2)
4 = µ (U+00B5)
5 = ´ (U+00B4)
6 = · (U+00B7)
7 = ¶ (U+00B6)
8 = ¹ (U+00B9)
9 = ¸ (U+00B8)

Sweet! Thanks for the info. And it tells me that my death count was 96. Which isn't too bad considering more than half of those deaths were trying to get those stupid power seals.

I am not done with the game and I think Quarble once mentioned I'm at 180 deaths or so. So, 96 is pretty impressive to me :D
