Expanding on "the deal" (DLC spoilers)

The original new game+ didn't really incentivise me to go for another playthrough of the game, but I really love the new looks of the character after taking "the deal", and it's a lot of fun to just overpower through everything with the buffed up damage and hp. I'd like to give the whole new game+ a proper go in this mode, but let's be real, making it through the entire game with 0 platforming insta deaths is not very likely.

I think it would be a fun little addition to the mode if you could try to win back Quarble's trust in some way (maybe pay him a very large sum of shards, like 10k, he is a greed demon after all). Another possibility could be that you sacrifice some of the power that you gained, but get to keep the cool new skin (like maybe even reducing your max hp from the original max, turning the mode into kind of a hard mode, albeit in a different way than the 1 life thing).

I'm sure there's some crazy bastard out there who can do the whole game on one life. But yeah, for the rest of us mortals some intermediate level of difficulty would be nice, for example you only get rescued from the instant-death pits.

Yeah I did it once, honestly it feels really tense which I like.
