Is this Ultimate Edition a some sort of console port? Since some people mentioned that they have framerate issues and apparently Ultimate Edition released as a separate product a few years later and I have some doubts.
People always focus on "it's the complete experience with all DLC and extra" but I doubt that it seems like a problematic port and technically worse that the original which released in 2016.
People who knows the precise difference between Ultimate and original version, can you enlighten me about this? I'm planning to buy Half-Genie Hero.
It's nice to have a one stop shop for the game and its DLCs, but it would be nicer if WayForward would put those missing trophies back into the game. They really did add a lot of flavor to each of the stages.
From the official screenshots here on Steam it looks like the Ultimate edition have slightly lower resolution for textures

You can tell from the UI and 3D objects like platforms or Giga Mermaid's body, that both screenshots are taken at the same resolution, but the objects that are stored in textures like the entire background and Giga Mermaid's head, hair and chains are upscaled and slightly blurry compared to the original release.
Is it different game settings being used in Ultimate Edition when they were taking screenshots for game's showcase on Steam store, or the Ultimate Edition really have all the texture data scaled down?
I just find it odd that both versions are still available for purchase.
The original 2016 release with separate DLC for 46€ total, and the 2018 Ultimate Edition that should include all the DLC plus some extra content that was previously available only to kickstarter supporters, yet it cost only 25€, thus I'm expecting some downsides in the Ultimate Edition.
