She won't eat the food she's asking for
She's complaining, asking for some seafood curry, so I look up the recipe and cook it all, and put it in her hands. she is now looking at it strangely, and any attempts to get her to eat are met with her telling me she wants curry, despite HOLDING IT in her hands.

There are two types of food. Food on plates and snacks/drinks. To eat food from a plate you should place it on the table in your apartment. Snacks/drinks can be consumed on the go, so you should place them into "hand" slot. I thought it will be easy enough for everybody to figure out without any additional hints, since that's exactly how it works IRL (you don't eat curry while walking around with a plate in hands, and you don't sit at the dinner table just to eat pocky from a box).

If you have any ideas how to make this gameplay feature more logical and intuitive, please share your suggestions.

Never mind, I figured it out. It's just as convoluted and annoying as I assumed. You gotta make TWO of the dish she wants, one for you, one for her, and you gotta put one in her hands, walk to the table in your apartment, set your food on the table, and eat it WITH HER.
Man, this game is.... really convoluted and confusing to learn.

Wait, no, you only... need to make... one...? you... duplicate the food...?
