Direction Help
I'm currently trying to get more assimilations and just want to see what other players are using. I'm currently at Elf 6, Druid 2, Nomad 10

What I'm doing is this. Early on, I'm using elf trees for food to gain happiness until about e8 on wells, then I switch to wagons. I spec Nomad reserve, caravans and huge spaces. I then put all horses except one into wells. Once I slow down I gain happiness with whatever has the most benift usually butchers first. Then I switch to a perservieance run and gain on swordsmen. Then I repeat and do the same thing for govenors/barons/lords/commanders etc. until I have enough bo to assimilate again.

I keep seeing mention of a magic build, but I can't seem to get the same results as above. Could others share what they are doing, thanks :)

In order, you want to do the first 3 steps and then convert to the final gains step.

Step 1: 500-100,000 Farm Happiness. Doesn't matter too much [makes a bigger difference at higher druid stuff]
Step 2: 1,000,000 Well Happiness. Feel free to split this into two parts.
Step 3: 1,000,000,000 Governor Happiness. Feel free to split this into two parts.

For the most part, you want to have around 1 mil well and 1 bil gov happiness to do most of the "easy" assimilations.

For perks:
Elf: +happiness is the most important. The magic of fairies is really good for early runs to get 20x food as a super fast bonus. The cast all perk is really helpful too.
Druid: In order: Meditation, The Power of the Staff are clutch. Gifts of the forest and collecting nectar are really good but not vital.
Nomad: Huge Spaces. That's the only good perk...just kidding, spirit of war is absolutely amazing. You want lots of nomad points for that. Huge spaces is really good too.
Warlocks: City Fireworks are great! Streams of mana are great too! Not sure about the other skills!

-------------------

So basically, at this point, you decide, do you want even more income [later druid pushes] or are you going to get an easy assimilation.

Step 4+:
If you want more income, go up the list [barons, lords, miners]. Otherwise, just go try to powerbuild a nice garrison reset.

Final Step:
Now, on the magic build:
1) Make sure you have MEDITATION. It's clutch. Power of staff makes it 3x better.
2) Go farms/homesteads. Get homestead to 50 cow production, feed farms when maxed.
3) Build everything you have money for.
4) Focus on leveling up City Walls, Iron Mine, Fountain, [place above fountain].
5) Buy soldiers, kill skeeters to stack up that meditation bonus [128x is really nice].
6 - Most Important) Before casting staffs, use the +food perk!!! +gold helps when food stagnates, but when you change your staff bonus from 1x [normal] x16 [40 dead skeeters] x 3 [power of staff] x 20 [magic spell], that totals a bonus of x960, versus just using the staff with no perks and no spells.

7) Wait for mana to regenerate, gain more food production, more gold production, more soldiers to kill more skeeters, etc, and rinse/repeat. You'll eventually stagnate, but it's really fast to do it this way.

Could you let me know what direction to go to unlock the warlocks as well? Your strategy above is awesome for pushing for the needed BP for assimilatons.

Wait I figured this out. I havn't restarted the game for a while.
