Do you have mouse trails turned on? That's an issue with Windows, and turning it off should fix the problem. If that's not the issue, pressing ESC can sometimes help with mouse issues.

tried that stuff. Idk wtf to do at this point.

Edit: maybe borderless fullscreen app will work

Edit 2: It does work, so its a decent work around for now

I also like to play this in fullscreen mode however the mouse cursor is not showing up in fullscreen mode. Can the developer please have a look at this bug, its kind of a important one I would say.

Yeah, it's hard for us to troubleshoot since it doesn't happen on any of our computers and we've only had about four reports of the issue. If you have any non-default settings on your computer that might be affecting that (like mouse trails, which we know is one cause of this problem) knowing that information might be helpful. Otherwise, for now the workaround is to either exit and re-enter fullscreen and see if that works, or play in windowed mode.

We're also updating the graphics library we're using in the near future, so there's a chance that might just fix it? We'll see.

I generally play all games in borderless windowed, but in Wildermyth I only have mouse in actual window or in fullscreen, no trailing mouse or anything, but I'll just have to go with fullscreen for now then :)
So OK it seems I'm not the only whose been experiencing this. I've experienced this issue since Day one, well actually Day two as I started playing a day after I bought the game. I bought the game on December 23, the start of the Steam Winter Sale and I first played the next day December 24. But I didn't worry about it at the time because I just thought the game might be getting confused at my system's input setup. Aside from a mouse, I also have a gamepad/controller permanently plugged into my computer for games that absolutely require one. I thought the system was getting confused because if I switch to Fullscreen or even on Borderless Fullscreen the mouse pointer would become invisible. Good thing the gamepad controls do work as I then have difficulty resetting back to Windowed mode unless I cycle through the options with my gamepad.

I was lucky, or rather unlucky, enough to have recorded this issue on my first ever playthrough video of the game here...

...never mind if you can't understand my native tongue just skip forward until the part where I start to manipulate the screen resolution and getting the screen to fit into OBS's canvass it's there when the mouse pointer starts disappearing amd reappearing.

Just came in to report this same thing! It's not a huge deal, bkz just quitting and re starting usually works. Never had it vanish in game or anything, only on startup. The only non-default mouse setting I have is I made the cursor black.

Having the same issue. Seems to be rare but it happens. I had to restart about 6 times before it worked.

I ran the game a few more times and got the bug again.

Rather than restarting I was able to tab in and tab out with the windows key a few times and the cursor would magically work every few attempts.

Seems to be a windows issue with this game.

Hm, we updated our graphics backend (LibGDX) in 2023, so it sounds like that didn't fix the issue. Glad restarting eventually fixes it, but bummer that it happens at all. Let me know if you ever find anything specific that's causing it. (Other programs that are open at the same time like OBS, a graphics option you turn off on your computer and it suddenly starts working, etc) Obviously we'd like to fix it if we can, but without a way to reproduce the issue it's hard to do.

Huh, weird. That's better than needing to restart, at least.
