I seriously need load order help!
I very seriously need someone to bluntly and completely explain the mod load order thing to me like I'm 5, because I am just not getting it.

Here is what I do know:
I know it's something to do with the 100000.0 number on all the mods, and I know largest number loads at highest priority, but...

1) do ALL mods need this done?
2) HOW do I know what needs higher priority?
3) What if more than one mod *requires* highest priority?
4) WHY ARE MOD AUTHORS NOT PUTTING THIS INFO ON THEIR MOD PAGES!?!?!
5) How TF does anyone remember what priority each mod is in the multiple places you have to manages them (seriously.. why does the game make you apply them on the main menu AND per campaign!?)

Adjusting the load order is only necessary if you have multiple mods overriding the same file and you want to choose which override gets used. In general, mod authors won't know what load order you should use because they don't know what other mods are overriding the same files, what other mods you're using, and what mods you think are most important.

No mods technically require the highest priority, since it's all dependent on what other mods you have installed. For example, if you have two mods that override the same comic event, obviously only one of the overrides can be shown.

Unfortunately, there's not really a good way to determine what load order will work for you other than guess and check. Usually there should be few enough incompatibilities that you shouldn't have to adjust load order at all, but if you're having issues with a specific mod, increasing the load order is one way to see if it's being caused by another mod.

Ok, thanks Dev. I guess it's process of elimination time. Bleh... my attention span already hurts.
