Omenroad Achievements
I see four of them are sitting at a solid 0% completion rate, and at least one of them sounds extremely tedious and annoying to set up, so I feel like I should ask. How bad is the climb to 20? How grindy are the various "do X 1000 times" acheivements? How annoying are the other particular achievements?

I had 100% completion before the update, but when it came out I tried it and lost steam halfway through the campaign version of omenroad. I really like 100%ing games, but I don't want to tarnish my memories of this game bashing my head against a wall for hundreds of hours if the achievements aren't fun. Hoping the low achievement count is because it was a late addition and a different genre from the main game, but any and all insight would be appreciated; the more the better. Thanks!

I think the most difficult one is beating peril 20. In my opinion, none of the special challenges (like stunting 75 times) are that difficult, but some do require a special strategy. For the "extremely tedious and annoying to set up" one, do you mean the one for ending 6 battles at 1 health? That one is actually pretty easy with Ode to the Unyielding or Bloodrage+; you just kind of have to specifically try for it.

But yeah, for a very rough guess, I don't expect it would take 100 hours if you're actively trying to get the achievements, but it could easily take more than 20

That's reassuring at least. I don't mind climbing the ascension ranks and I'm sure people have put out busted builds to help with the higher difficulties. And yes, that was the one I had my eye on. Good to know it isn't as terrible as it looks. 20-40 hours doesn't seem too bad at all.

Thank you for the insight!

I'm in the exact same situation, I loved the original game so much but the achievements for Omenroad seem so tedious I'm worried it might leave me with a bitter taste. I played 5/6 hours and I feel 100%ing it will be repetitive and not that fun. I kind of gave up for now, we will see
I've 100% this one without too much trouble (except for difficulty twenty and twenty one). The higher Omenroad difficulties take some luck, but once you've found your favourite heroes and tested how they work together, it's not too bad. The rarer achievements are more things you have to actively make happen (like the finish with one health x number of times just doesn't happen naturally unless you're either extremely lucky or absolutely doomed). The thousand kills ones come pretty easily as you play campaigns and Omenroad anyway, I've even seen someone get them on their first faction campaign. Helps that progress tracks with save/reload too.

Level 20 is the last one i got a while ago, and some unlucky beat x boss (that maybe fixed in todays patch). Kill x mobs was tedius pre-omenroad, but i have played hundreds of campaings and have hundreds of heroes. The finish with one health is one of the easier ones (to force), poison yourself or step into fire, do it at lower peril levels/early in the campaign and/or use a hunter and keep hidden in grayplane for extra safety. No monster interaction needed, no rng. :steammocking:

Most of the omenroad achivements seem to have "big numbers" at first glance, at higher peril levels you will be reaching those figures naturally.

I only got the dlc recently, and have only completed peril three so far....that being said, in those four runs I've done so far, I've already got shred 100 armor, kill 8 enemies in a single turn, deal 30 damage in a single attack, deal 500 damage with transformation abilities, deal 1k damage with a single hero, and pick up 15 rewards with a single character. The remaining ones seem to be mostly about climbing up to a high peril, or using builds that I do not currently have set up. They honestly don't seem that bad to get. If I work on diversifying the builds I have access to in my legacy, I expect most of them will just come naturally.

There's very little completion of omenroad in general. A lot of people who liked wildermyth didn't really want a mode that's all combat with no story. I enjoyed the new campaign but the challenge mode went stale for me fast.
