Report a translation problem
In the case of opportunities, you may still need to reload a few times so that it chooses the Loyal hero for the opportunity and the other hero as the helper. I'd go back to the save where Brash kept popping up, if possible, since you know it can choose the Loyal hero there.
Removing the child from legacy does not work. I think the best way would be to remove the "parentOf*" aspect(s) from the affected heroes just before the event is about to trigger. I *think* the aspects will come back automatically after a bit.
