Indignance is really fun on a joke character
I've been experimenting with this invisible mystic, adding buffs like inspiration, bard, spiritblade and such. Eventually decided to run Indignance on it because i thought it wouldnt break the cloak. Which it didnt.

Upgraded it deals true damage on anything entering 2 tiles of her,
which is upgraded at 2 + 1/3 Potency = around 3-5 true damage.

I dont think i would ever add indignance in any build, not even vigorflow tanks. But on an invisible mystic thats supposed to stay cloaked for the whole combat its really effective.

At 4 true damage you wouldnt manage to kill anything. But the fun part is you can walk twice per turn using 2 action points.

Now normally it would only trigger like once. It only triggers if anything enters your 2 tile zone. If they're already inside your zone it wont trigger on the same opponent. But if you walk PAST opponents they technically enter your zone while still being outside at the end, suffering 4 true damage ignoring armor. And afterwards you can use the same path back doing another 4 true damage totaling at 8 true damage.

It still wont kill most opponents as they have around 9-16 hp. But then on the enemy turn the mystic is still cloaked. So because they dont see the mystic they end up walking into her 2 tile zone again, suffering another 4 true damage, totaling at 12 true damage.

This is on a mystic that had 6 potency at like level 6 with the passive buffs excluding weapons. But if the mystic had 9 potency. Then it would be 2 + 3 = 5 damage.
Using the strategy of walking past an enemy twice and then letting them enter your zone on their turn would deal a total of 15 true damage ignoring armor.

If the mystic had the empowered spear at level 3 and the offhand spellshard it would add 5 potency on top of that.
If the mystic manages to get 12 potency using the items, levels and maybe the +0.7 from the weird hook quest then it would be 2 + 12/3 = 6 true damage.

Now getting an empowered spear and the spellshard on one mystic is really rare, and you would've had to put the weird hook on it beforehand because thats permanent to get the +0.7 potency. And maybe +0.4 - +0.6 potency from upbringing.
But if you manage to get that 12 potency on any mystic then you could use the walking past strategy to deal 18 true damage on any opponent that you come across.

Just a reminder. This is a joke character meant to stay cloaked for the whole combat meant to run Inspiration and bard as a buff. But with Indignance it can still function as an AoE true damage dealer.

I still believe Indignance sucks as an ability. Even with this strategy it would need to use up 2 ability slots just to be useful. And on an vigorflow build you would miss out on a lot of better abilities like long reach or heroism. But on a joke build meant to stay invisible or an invisible buff build its really effective and fun to use.

idk, I think it's just... situational? One place it really shines is the Monarchs under the Mountain Campaign (and to a lesser extent, any generic campaign where Deepists are the main enemy), because even 2 true damage is enough to kill any horn children that come remotely close to the party.

I think as far as Indignance tanks go, Vigorflow is okay, but you might be better off prioritizing Soulsplitting, Openmind, and Earthscribe/+. (Don't get me wrong, Vigorflow is great, but it doesn't help with damage mitigation, so a full tank build is better off with defensive abilities and a leaf weapon—of course, favoring tanking instead of massive damage is already off-meta, but given the invisibility build I suspect that's not high among your concerns.)

One potency buff you don't mention—if another mystic applied it to the invisible guy—is Lightning Learning from Mythweaver+. That's 3 temporary potency, enough for another full point of Indignance damage!
I didnt know mythweaver+ could buff someone with +3 potency for 3 turns. Sounds useful but oddly situational? Do you run mythweaver+ consistently or randomly?

Also about this vigorflow tank build, i havent done a mystic tank yet but after reading through reddit pages and discussions i just assumed it would always use vigorflow.
If it's just Soulsplitting, Openmind and earthscribe then Indignance could become useful because it would use most of its turn interfusing with new objects without many means of attacking.
Though to me, if you sacrifice vigorflow just to fit indignance in there then you're doing something wrong. Just my opinion.
I run mythweaver+ pretty much never (the buff requires books, which are relatively rare scenery), but thought I'd mention it for the sake of completeness. I did do it once in an Eluna campaign, where there are a few story levels that are guaranteed to have books (including the final fight) and it worked pretty well, but I agree that it's super situational! One dip into mythweaver for greater constrict is usually enough for me.
