Why is event targeting so f*cked up?
All the Sweltering Stars and Mooringlight both skip the high charisma, bookish mystic for the average charisma and illiterate hunter. The Wolf Price targets the leader warrior over the loner hunter. Worlds Apart has never triggered for me even with just a hothead warrior and a poet mystic. The hothead warrior always wants to go the stealth route while the coward mystic demands fire and blood and the goofball hunter is brooding and serious.

I'm not running any mods and this is a big enough deal that, outside of trying the Itch version again last night, I don't even play this game anymore. Whatever custom party you build for whatever story you want to play winds up being wrong and, well, f*ck that.

The things you mention in the last sentence with hothead, coward, and goofball sound like things maybe we could adjust, if you remember where they happened and they seemed really out of character. Transformation events we generally try to leave pretty open, in terms of personality and class, just because we don't want the exact same hero types to get the exact same transformations every time. Worlds apart, is your warrior possibly not eligible for that theme?

In general, Wildermyth leans into its procedural nature, so even if you make a party with specific events in mind, it may not always happen how you're planning. If you want to tell a very specific story, you can turn on devMode Pick Events to choose exactly what events happen (though I understand that's probably not a satisfying solution).

Given the way you're talking about things, I'm assuming you might've already done this, but it may be worth noting that you can view the exact targeting for events on the wiki and in the in-game Comic Editor itself.

Also keep in mind that events don't just target based on personality numbers. Hooks and other traits matter too, and they may be (dis)qualifying a character as a target.

(Guides aren't always accurate about these things, either.)

I’m actually having the opposite problem currently. 3 stories in a row I’ve ran into Worlds Apart. The could be me accidentally making all my mystics nerds though.

My most favoured Warrior has 2 Avengers, first he got the sword and later in another campain the Rabbit :)
