* Antihero - It's a digital board game, but you may find something to like here. I did. :)
* Battlestar Galactica Deadlock - While there are a lot of differences between Wildermyth and BSG Deadlock, it's got a lot going for it as well. I recommend it strongly to any BSG fan, and recommend to any other turn-based gamers.
* Chaos Reborn - Deck-builder and turn-based, with a campaign map and some decent stories. I haven't played in a while, but I did enjoy it.
* Fights in Tight Spaces - Another turn-based deckbuilder, but I must like it, because I've spent over 250 hours in game.
* Invisible Inc. - XCOM lite, with a cyberpunk theme. RPG elements here.
* Othercide - I admit, I like the aesthetic more than the game. I find it a bit too intense for my liking, but it is quite striking.
* Phantom Doctrine - Yes. 1983 Cold War XCOM-like game with RPG elements and interesting stories.
* Phoenix Point - Mixed feelings here. Julian Gollop, the creator of the original Xcom made this, but I just don't love it as much as I want to. Still, it is worth a look.
* XCOM and XCOM 2 - If you don't have BOTH of these, you should. Seriously, I might even gift them to you. :)
* Xenonauts - I haven't played it yet, but it is supposed to be a spiritual updating of the original Xcom, as opposed to a reboot. It's in my queue to play... one of these days. :)
These are just a few of the amazing ones. I am afraid that I haven't found a superhero one that I like yet, and I've tried a few. Freedom Force comes close, but it's not actually a turn-based game.
Hope this helps!
I really appreciate the long list, I put a few on my wish list.
I want to try XCOM 2, but I don't know if I should skip the first one. I'm very interested in customizing characters, but I guess if I like the 2 ill go for the 1 aswell.
More reasons to get XCOM2. Thanks for the info.
It doesn't have quite the same over-world structure, nor does it have the interactive story structure. However, it does have a strategic vs tactical structure, and it does deal with the emotional stresses of dungeon crawling. Fun game, but it can be punishing.
Since someone recommended Divinity Original Sin, I'd like to say Horizon's Gate is similar in its environment manipulation, but its a simple 2d tactical rpg with more customization, with the addition of ship sailing if you like that
Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous
Dragon Age Origins
Wartales has no roguelike aspects, but it's otherwise similar. It's a dark age mercenary sim pretty much.

Fae Tactics is sort of a spiritual successor to final fantasy tactics esque games. They're pretty close to wildermyth too. All the characters are either magical, badasses, or both, so maybe more fitting to a 'superhero' motif?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/590380/Into_the_Breach/
Into The Breach is like a 'lite' version of games like wildermyth. It's extremely simplified, but it's also not?
Basically all your enemies will tell you *exactly* what they are going to do. They'll move, point which direction they will attack in, and then they'll wait for you to finish your entire turn before they finish their move.
During your turn your objective is to use their actions against themselves. Shove an enemy in their path so they shoot their friend instead of a building. Kick that one guy that was webbing your teammate so your teammate can do their action. Set them on fire so they'll die before they shoot. Shove them so that you can use chain lightning to zap 3 of them and kill them all at once. So, so many options.
The game is awesome. It plays more like a puzzle game with how much you need to think about each move. I highly recommend it, even if it's further out there compared to wildermyth.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/243970/Invisible_Inc/
Invisible Inc. is a game about corporate espionage. It's a top down grid based stealth game. Move your agents around, and use their tools to sneak past the guards, steal the info or item you came for, and then get out before the corporation realizes you're there and floods the place with more enemies than you could handle.
I just noticed the first guy recommended it too. It's NOT wildermyth- there's no intense character builds and the goal isn't to drive your enemies' HP down to zero. It is similar in many ways and it's great fun though. Do eet.
Dragon Age saga is one of my favorites, i wish more content of them

It's also available on phone, but I swear it's very good.
The Iron Oath (EA available, its like Battle Brothers I'm told, but I loved the content so far!)
Mars Tactics (focusing on emergent story telling and abilities [not traditional skill trees but skills based on what you're doing with the characters in the game])
Falling Frontier (not exactly turn based, but I think the tenseness of tactical battles looks awesome!)
