What does Warding do?

Hi!

It may be a language thing for me (English's not my first language) but I was wondering what does warding do! Maybe a synonym or a quick explanation of the term would be really helpful.

if i recall right, warding is the 'magic' equiv to armor. whereas the latter (armor) blocks physical attacks to some degree, warding stops magical or elemental damage to some degree?

at least, thats how i understand it.

Wield is the speed of the weapon. You can hover over stuff on the character sheet to learn more details.
