Its a cool name. Kind of makes me think of mike tyson trying to pronounce wilderness tho.

The game was originally called Legacy. This was only a working title but when we finally had to abandon it, we considered a bunch of different ideas. It's always been a game about myth making - how band of nobodies turn into functional demigods - and it's always been set in the wilderness - there are no kings, countries, or even, heck, town councils to answer too. We combined both of those ideas, wilderness, and myth, and... the domain name was not taken lol.

Ah yes, the often underestimated factor of "The Domain name was not taken". It solved many arguments about how to name stuff :D
