Greyplane attacks bypassing armour + applying poison to attacks with transformed arms. Foxflight for extra tank build, jumpjaws for versatility.
That said, I am convinced every class has their respectable uses and powers which can shine even more in good combinations.
The cyborg arm also comes with a crossbow arm so you don't give up ranged attacks with that one.
If celestial attacks counted as 'ranged' then they'd be amazing on a hunter because the aoe could be applying poison+hobble to all the affected targets.
They can make pretty okay melee characters - their biggest downside is their speed. Infusions allow you to get around that mostly, but not transformations. Even with ranged transformations their ability to get into position suffers hard.
Hunters can be build melee or range by default.
Most of their abilities do not care if they use ranged or melee.
But Thornfang+ with Woulftouched Frenzy allows a hunter to slaughter a half dozen foes - in one turn.
They are actually not that good in range, without bows.
Warriors realy just treat the transformation like a melee weapon - or something ranges that needs defensive buffs to work with.
They also got the best bonus movement option with Whirlwind step.
While -1 Range means he needs to get closer and also has less operation range for Archery.
While I avoid two-handed weapons on most characters, I would not do so on Hunters.
Funny, I do it exactly the other way around. I give my warriors and mystics who wield two handed weapons bows, while my hunters stick to crossbows for versatility.
Update: I know it is questionable, since it is all about being able to attack an enemy who is next to you but just diagonally. But still nice with extra poison.
It's disgusting how many enemies he kills in one turn.
